What you're asking for is a sub job system. To remove the current classes is to remove the armory system.I never said anything about scrapping the Armoury system, I just meant adding BLM, WHM, WAR, DRG and so on you could still add abilities from other classes, though there should be more restrictions about what you could add. Think more about traits that a WAR has it could have double attack exclusive for it's class and things like that, abilities like Provoke could still be used on other classes.
as long as it don't disturb my fishing. (wow movie joke, look up the "go" guy story)

A good link about FF jobs

They said they were not going to scrap the classes.
Jobs are not Classes and can easily be implemented ontop of them.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

I have multiple threads and posts on issue 1033 just check my threads created on my profile.

I'd be ok if the did away with current classes, I haven't been able to really get attached to any certain class like I do in every other MMO I play.

Don't scrap them just make it so only thaumaturge and conjurer can ability share, and that the Disciples of war can ability share, and then make 2 more ranged classes (Boomerang tosser and a gun/xbow user), call them Disciples of the Far Hand, and let them share abilities. Easy fix, creates realism(ie melees aren't using magic), and still promotes flexibility.

But that wouldn't fix anything at all (among the old classes, balancing, and giving everyone that nice tingly feeling of old final fantasy). Oh and by the way, I grew up in Marion Center/IndianaDon't scrap them just make it so only thaumaturge and conjurer can ability share, and that the Disciples of war can ability share, and then make 2 more ranged classes (Boomerang tosser and a gun/xbow user), call them Disciples of the Far Hand, and let them share abilities. I think weakening everything cross-class across the board along with AP fixes (Say if Cure III used like 7 AP and healed for like 300HP would it be worth it?) and adding more traits (One with nature II & III for example) and job traits (Paladin, White Mage, Monk etc.) to get more spesific with your role and adding skills only for them would make them feel more unique. Like this you could be something like Mystic Knight with all three(or more) One with natures and be almost as good ST (Aoe should be left for magic classes alone) elemental nuker as CON and have your cool Mystic Knight/GLA skills but you couldn't really use anything else efficiently.
