Non-crafters/gatherers, how do you make your gil?

Since leves have fallen out of favor, how are you non-crafters making gil? Because I'm buying gear to turn into materia, the gil I stockpiled doing leves is quickly being depleted. That being the case, I need some advice.

Asside from selling crystals and shards, how are you guys making your money?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Farming mobs and selling their drops has ALWAYS worked

Of course, got some advice as far as lucrative drops? You don't need to give away all your secrets for obvious reasons, but a few examples would help.

36k in 15 min for a leve was pretty damn quick but with the guild mark changes I can't get anything but guildleves (which I don't need) or like 5k gil for them these days.

it almost doesnt matter what you farm as long as you are farming something

    skins
    fleece
    wings
    feathers
    ore(off coblyns)

whatever floats your boat, you can make good money as long a drops keep coming in

there's always lazy crafters looking to find ingredients in the wards, often even common ingredients. Skins are definitely something leatherworkers need. Try selling them in Gridania since the guild is there. Same goes for other drops. Bones sell in Uldah. Ores sell in Limsa. Understand what craft would want your drops and you can sell stuff faster.

But that begs the question. Why not craft them yourself? Sheepskin and some alumen can net you quite a bit of early levels on Leatherworker, which you can almost immediately turn into some shoes or hat or something. Sell that and it's like 99% profit. Plus the EXP you gain can go towards the spiritbond on your equipment. There's too many benefits of crafting to simply ignore it altogether.
