    Old A Rank hunt monsters

I recently started up a new character and was having a heck of a time clicking on a quest trigger spot in Eastern Thanalan because Maahes was standing RIGHT ON TOP OF IT. Unfortunately for me, despite shouting and sending the word out through members of my FC not a soul came to kill Maahes. After 6hours (and counting...) Maahes is still there.
Later on, I switched to my low level ARC to get it to 15 for job quest purposes. While doing its hunting log I ran into Forneus! Right beside the river where many lvl 1-9 players frequent. Again, despite several shouts no one came to kill Forneus.

My point of the subject is that old-world A ranks need some new incentives to kill. Even on my main character I was trying to get Allied seals the other day so I could get an excalibur for glamor purposes, but attempting to kill an A rank by oneself even in the ARR areas is unlikely.

I implore SE to seek out some changes on the old world A-ranks to make them a more attractive option and breathe some life back into the hunt.

Took down a couple A ranks solo Zanig'oh and Voogal Ja. Zanig'oh was actually pretty easy don't even think my health dropped below 3/4. Voogal Ja was a little more interesting, was a long fight. May just depend on the monster and mechanics it has. But anyways, maybe they will add something in 3.1 to get them back into it, though the hunts just bring more putrid attitudes into the game. Well the attitudes are there, just hunts expose them for all to see.

If each A rank would give EXP maybe about 200k then you will notice how they become extremely rare to see.

It's a question of special abilities / mechanics, most of the time; you might have a harder time dealing with attacks that are meant to be split or stacked against, such as with Sabotender Bailarina and Dalvag's Final Flame, or when they saddle you with a damaging status (Marraco's Swinge: it hits like a truckload of bricks, all the while causing Pacification).

Attacks which may require silencing have a sufficiently generous recast timer, unlike lvl 60 As, though you still need to be quick on your feet in case of a follow-up (Maahes' Stone Cold -> Petrifying Gaze sequence comes to mind).
