Which I can agree with, however most times it't happened with me it's been with a newer tank who's getting used to the dungeon. I did Brayflox HM with a fresh 50 and a monk was running ahead trying to aggro everything. The run went ridiculously long.
welcome to tanking in mmorpgs where everything is your fault no matter what you do. it only gets worst from here on out till that get you so fed up with other players that u become cold and jaded towards everyone thats in your pug.
singed, a fellow tank over years of mmorpgs
I've never run into a single party problem Tanking as Paladin from 2.0 to 3.0. Compliments, commendations, the usual. However, ever since this "inferior Paladin" meta began people are a lot more vocal. Even when nothing goes wrong they feel the need to voice their strange opinions. Some recent happenings:
DRG: "Why are you in Sword Oath (Expert Roulette bosses)? SMH. Now watch as I pull hate." -Never lost hate
BRD: "Why are you wearing full Slaying / Penta-Melded Slaying accessories? SMH." -Never dropped below 50% HP. Did more DPS than BRD.
AST: "Stop standing at the edge; you'll be knocked off!" -Nothing happens (Tempered Will / Hallowed Ground). BRD falls off.
NIN: "Pulled four bee's. LOL. GG." -Nothing happens on Final Stings (Dancing between Shield Swipe / Shield Bash)
DRK: "LOL PLD in Alex Savage" -Finds out I'm two turns ahead of him
Calm down. Relax. Deep breaths. I'm not going to let you die just because you've got an "lolPld" bible in your pocket. Maybe...
Eh, I wouldn't move to a healing class, it's just as bad, if not worse.
When life gives you sourness and salt, make margaritas.
I've found that if I just say "Hi, this is my first time tanking this" at the start of a dungeon, people tend to be pretty relaxed and helpful.
Although I really wish that people would run TO me instead of away from me if I lose aggro on something, because trying to chase them down to get it back makes everything a lot harder...
I try to turn any sour DF runs into a fun one. I had one where the bard decided to pull the first group of adds in fractal before I was ready (I like to wait till the healer has a decent amount of MP for reasons.) Anyway, he's getting destroyed, the healer healing him is getting destroyed, the other DPS is getting destroyed, I'm just standing there. After everyone dies and the adds leave me alone cause I didn't attack any I just say into chat "I wasn't ready." some lols were had.
Anyway, point is try to turn a negative into a positive.
Born to lose, Live to win.
RIP Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister
