    Can't update from original install disks

    I had to restore my PC to its factory image and now i'm trying to reinstall FFXIV. After reinstalling from the original disc (1.0 Collector's edition DVD) the updater will not update the game to the current version. The error message I get is

    11024 Version check timed out. Please try again later.
    3:20455,10009,10019

    happens every time, I've tried restarting my computer. Please help.

    (edit: nevermind, found a way to download the client. Suggest you guys make that easier to find.)
