Suggestion: 16 bit Graphics server.

We all know the true era of final fantasy was the Superfamicon/SNES days. Too much time and effort is spent these days on worthless things such as graphics. What we need is a roll back to those halcyon days a server that uses nothing more advanced graphically than could be put on those old system.

Now I think this should be easy enough and not a waste of time to pointlessly overhaul the game for a very small segment that wants crazy nostalgia.

I would play the hell out of SNES Graphics FFXIV. I know this thread was a joke, but a seasonal mini-game, or Hildabrand event, something like that, could be SO COOL. I would LOVE to see my avatar in 16 bit, even it was a fairly generically simplified version (IE: All Tank Au Ra with Black hair look the same)

pretty sure you mean 16 bit graphics client as the client has all of the graphics. the server tells the client what to do with them at what point.

I fully support the idea of a 16 bit graphics client. it would allow them to port the game to more hardware without screwing the user interface/controls

I know there is an MMO fairly close to that...well I say MMO but I think most I ever have seen was like 100 people or so over the course of a few years but its called Nestalgia. Anyway, I guess it would depend how it handled on if I joined or played it.
