pet party list? good idea? bad idea?

I thought this might be a good idea and was wondering what you all think of it. I thought about it after looking at this thread.

the idea would be a simple pet party list that would tell us the HP of the pet and who it belongs to. maybe make it so when you push down on the D-pad it would scroll to them and back to your party members in the main party list. obviously with the PS3 memory issues this would have to remain simple. but that is all I would want as a healer anyway something simple to make it easier for me to see the HP of pets.

do you all think this is a good idea? or a bad one?
if you choose to respond please keep the discussion civil.

The problem its when theres a SCH, SMN and MCH in a Full party, that list gonna hurt pretty bad in people with low resolution. Maybe optonial, but if that happen SMN going to stop use Sustain and say its the Healer Job to heal theirs pet even when its their job.

oh I was meaning something optional. If a SMN stopped using sustain to try to rely on me under normal circumstances I would tell them sustaining their pet is part of their job. no excuses.

It'd be cool as an optional thing. I still wouldn't heal pets as a healer (outside of AoE heals) since it'd still be a waste of mana when SMN/SCH has sustain.

Bad idea. All classes that are capable of summoning pets also have the necessary skills to sustain them or, in MCH's case, replace easily. Putting them in the party list would just add unnecessary clutter.

No offense, but you are basing this idea off what was a very obvious troll thread.

Imagine a party of 4 SMN/MCH and 2 SCH. Do you really want to see all that unnecessary data cluttering up your screen? I wouldn't. The simple fact of the matter is if your pet is about to die, use Sustain. In the case of a MCH, re-summoning your turret is nearly instantaneous. It should not be another party member's responsibility (in this case, the healer) to keep your pet alive.

no offense taken. Actually I wasnt basing it off the troll thread, but a couple responses about not being able to see the pet's HP bar made me start to think about it. I could care less about mr troll's idea that healers are lazy.

They should just copy how pets work in world of warcraft. In World of Warcraft pets take 99% less AoE damage so they never have to be healed by healers in raids.

I got the room on my window so I wouldn't argue with it, but as everyone has said if you have a pet, you have a way of managing its health either by moving it out of AOEs just the way you would yourself or healing skills. Now I can understand mistakes and the pet get hit or cleaved or is almost dead, sure I may toss it a heal but overall, they are bottom of the list in priority.
