I started as a PLD, and a PLD I remain. Scholar is my secondary, as it has been for a long time. In PvP I play Bard and Astrologian. I enjoy playing the other classes though, and will eventually have all of them at 60 and geared.

1.0 THM because it felt a lot like rdm back then (rdm main through XI- 10 years) then 2.0 raid brd from phase 1 beta, and now PLD because caster brd just didn't feel right to me.
Started ARR as a cnj and went all the way to 50 as whm. Then I leveled WAR, then bard, then SCH, then PLD, then NIN, then DRG, and finally BLM.
During this time, I had my main go from WHM, to WAR, to SCH, to PLD. My main dps went from NIN to DRG.
In HW I leveled my PLD to 60 first, then started leveling AST, stopped at lvl 53 to level DRK but stopped that in the 40s to level WHM to cap for my retainer, then finished lvling DRK to 60. I am slowly leveling AST and BRD when I feel like it.
My current main jobs are DRK and WHM, tho WHM will probably be replaced with AST once its leveled.
I have a problem with commitment. I start leveling a job, then get distracted leveling other crap.
I started as Archer, played Bard in first coil and then switched to Monk for second coil. I played Dragoon for the launch of Heavensward before I switched back to Monk. I like punching things.
Every time I played this game, I've been a Paladin. 1.0 -> now, about 5 iterations of a theme. I love tanking even if I'm not great at it.
Though, I've been thinking about switching to something else for duty finder. There is a lot of rage these days for tanks, not to mention a lot of talk about using strength gear. I am old though, and stubborn in my ways. I will forever use shield oath and vit gear. I just feel dirty equipping him with anything other than what's going to make him a better wall to the rest of the party.
Started as Summoner, then went to PLD shortly after, and been DRK ever since expansion.
Started as a monk because it was the closest thing to a ninja at the time. Now I main ninja, funny how that works.
I started out as a bard bc I thought it would suit me best.
Oh how wrong I was!!
The most hilarious thing prior to my job switch was an FC mate telling me he didn't think I'd enjoy tanking bc "you always have to know what to do, explain the fight, and be out in front." It's like he didn't know me at all...
Switched to WAR pre HW, still maining WAR.
I started out as a Conjurer then continued that way and mained White Mage for over a year but as time went by, I was really starting to feel like I was playing it out of obligation. I didn't enjoy it the way I used to anymore. Every run I had to heal felt like a chore.
Then, Heavensward came out, along with every bard's most hated skillé Yeah, The Wanderer's Minuet. I heard so many complains about it, I just had to see what it was like. I fell in love. Suddenly I was having fun again. I ditched White Mage to play Bard.
tl;dr CJR > WHM (up to 3.0) > BRD (3.0 and beyond)
Started as a PLD and ended as a MNK.
Tanking is always my favorite role and I dislike playing dps jobs but the tanks in this game are so thematically boring (They are fun from a gameplay standpoint I just don't see how any of them would fit the character I have in my head). I like more nimble tanks or tanks with a more eastern feel and such. I really wish I could play MNK as a tank but SAM would also help solve my problem.
(on a side note please PLEASE change the Paladins sprinting animation. That run looks awful with the weapon out yet DRK and AST get unique sprints)
