My friends said that Ravana's model is a rip from a monster in FFXI. I've never played FFXI so I don't know, but considering most of the monster models are copy pasted from there onto here it wouldn't shock me if that was the case. It makes me wonder what does Yoshi-P consider "original."

While they share the same design, Ravana was newly modeled and created for XIV, vs straight porting the model and up-rezing the texture like with some of the models (Damselflies and Crawlers for instance, or the models during any of the events).

I personally love seeing these re-imagining of existing designs. One of the benefits of advancement of tech is seeing cool designs "one-upped" in future installments.

Anyway, they said that the dungeon would be nex, but some bosses and maybe some trashes would be reminiscences of the past FFs. Maybe recalls to FFIV and FFIX.
