I am with RinchanNau. We haven't any problem with mobility as BLM or healers. The key is our position in the field.

It's like Alexander 3 and protean waves. I watched a lot of streams and videos. Bards and others job have this problem.

If you stay near the boss like purple pentacle, you should do 1 step to avoid the protean wave.
If you stay far from boss like pink pentacle, you have to do more than 2 steps to avoid the protean wave.

The first position let you finish your cast and move to avoid the protean wave. Once you avoided the aoe, you start again your cast without time lost.
The second one depends your cast time and your time reaction to avoid the aoe. You should finish your cast but you have to move more distance and don't allow you to cast or forced to use feint.
