I was angry. Very angry for the first 3 weeks of 3.0. Then dropped bard and switched to machinist. Never looked back. And never played bard ever since..
I feel ur pain.

What makes many bards angry is the fact that the mechanic IS from MCH, and not something made for bard.
MCH doesn't have OGCDs that can reset randomly from DoT crits in the middle of casts.
MCH only has one 30 sec DoT that needs to be kept up instead of two every 18 sec.
MCH has a 30 sec buff shot that needs to be kept up instead of every 20 sec.
MCH's shots are instant when procced and that has a 50% chance of happening without ammo, and can be controlled with ammo for on-demand movement. BRD gets one proc that goes instant with only a 20% chance.
MCH animations are made for expecting procs sooner. BRD's heavy shot animation goes longer than the GCD when you include the cast time, which pushes their 20% proc to happen after the GCD. Since that shot is ALSO the one that needs to be reapplied every 20 sec, they could end up wasting TP and cast time on a non-instant, non-crit shot because they queued it like they're supposed to and it started casting before the game registered that it should be instant crit.
So yes, they have the same mechanic, but it's a mechanic made for them.
To Summarise MCH was designed from the ground up with Gauss Barrel and the cast bars in mind, Wanderers Minuet was tacked on and expected to work.. because as we know drastically changing play styles and having clashing game play styled abilities never is bad.
