Digital download and Steam

So....I have finished my 14 day trial on steam....and I decided to purchase the Full game in the form of digital download on Amazon....my question is after purchasing the digital download....do I have to delete the steam free trial then download the game from amazon? or I just can download the version that amazon gives without deleting the steam free trial?

You can continue to use the existing download version from Steam because the game files on the disk are exactly the same. All updates to the game are done via the games own launcher, not through Steam.

However, if you started your trial with Steam then you probably won't be able to convert your existing account to the full game using the version you bought because your trial was with Steam and the game you bought is not Steam. The codes basically aren't compatible.

Unless they've changed things with trial acounts, when your account was created it would have been flagged as Steam so you can only upgrade to full game by buying the game through Steam (and then any future expansions too). If it doesn't let you use your code in the Mogstation then this is what the problem is and unfortunately your only option is to try and get a refund (which they probably won't let you do as they've already issued the code) or start over with a new account/new character. It's not actually as bad as it sounds, getting to 20 (or 17 in your case?) the first time takes much longer and when you know what you're doing it's a matter of hours, if that, for the 2nd and subsequent times to level up.

WHATT!!!!! So my current account that I used to play on free trial on steam are now flagged as steam FFXIV account?!?!?!?.....even my mogstation are flagged as steam?!?!?
