PS4 Free Trial to full version

I have a friend who got the FFXIV 14 day Free Trial on PS4, she enjoyed the game very much and decided to buy the full version (Final Fantasy XIV Online complete edition, digital download from Playstation Store).

1) She's still within the 14 days free trial
2) After buying the full version and relaunching the game, she logs in as usual and is STILL under Free Trial.
3) At no point whatsoever was she asked to register the full version

I spent the better part of two hours trying to figure it out, but I'm entirely clueless about her situation as I play exclusively on PC and have had an account since version 1.

How can she transition for real to the game she just paid for? does she need to re-install? does she need to wait for the 14 day trial to end? is there a way to trigger the registration screen?

I'm going to need some real noob-friendly spoon-fed instructions that I can relay to her in the most exact way possible, I'm working with "I don't know what's going on" level of information from her part

All I know is that when she manages to log in, she's still under Free Trial status and can't receive FC invites and so on, despite paying for the full game on the same PS4 machine


EDIT: Looks like the PS4's downloading some additional content, I'd assume that's probably Heavensward content, I guess once it's done updating, it'll probably transition correctly to full version, she'll keep me informed.

Yup, that did the trick, had to let the game finish downloading the extra stuff. Can't believe she didn't tell me sooner it was still downloading >_<
