FFXIV desktop icon does not look like FFIXV.boot icon *NEED HELP* non-retard

Hello all,

I recently installed FFXIV client on a new ultrabook and for some reason even if I change the desktop icon image to point it in C:\program files(x86)\Square-Enix\boot\ffxiv.boot.exe the desktop icon picks the circle moon looking icon but it never changes. The game runs fine but i think it has something to do with the FFXIV default icon cache. I can change it to other icons but I want it to mimic the ffxivboot.exe icon.

I have cleared icon cache inside appdata local to see if that works but it did not work.

I have exhausted my options. Is there anything you all might recommend?

No matter what I do I cant make it that icon i want inside the window. It's always that icon you see already on the desktop below steam

Problem resolved. This was strictly a DPI issue regarding resolution. Very strange but it is now fixed. Update to those who face similar issues.
