I actually laughed when I read the title. Auto 50? Are you KIDDING me? Some of the people on this site are just unbelievable.

how about NO NO NO!
why do people even bother playing video games anymore.. today's generation would have slit there throat on unbeatable games! When I was a child there were games that just got harder and harder until you died... Kids today would slit their wrists.
While we are at it
can I also start with 50mil gil.?
and all the vendor items should be for free
we should have an unlimited leve stash
and finaly all mobs should only have 1 hp

If you dont then don't play mmorpg. People would quit if this was in the game. They want to earn their gear, level, strength by gameplay. Not being offline and log once in month or two to see if he hitted 50 already. Auto-offline ? No thank you !Therefore I propose that SE makes leveling completely optional. If you wan't to have fun you can team up and go do it. And if you don't, you can just auto-level to 50.
I completely disagree with idea of auto-leveling to 50. If you want to play mmorpg, then you have to try to play a bit as well. Leveling is now fast and easy to chains = very lot of exp.
No, that's not how new MMO's are.I'm sorry but i'm not a troll. Rinsui is a fine fellow and made a good point. Thus i felt like it would be a benefit to the community to put forth such a quote in order to elicit support. Everyone wanted instant-transport airships. Now many want auto-levels and probably would support getting any equipment they want.
That's just how new mmo's are. stop living in the past
Rift... New MMO... requires you to level from 1 to cap
The Old Republic... Upcoming MMO... will require you to level from 1 to cap
The list goes on.
Guild Wars 1 lets you create a level 20 PvP-specific character... however you still have to unlock all its skills by playing through the campaign... or by buying the skills in their cash shop. It's also not technically a MMORPG.
Other than that, every other MMORPG out there requires you to start at level 1 and progress - by playing the game - to the end. There's always some form of progression. Any MMORPGs that do offer that option would be so obscure as to be irrelevant or, at the least, vastly outnumbered by every other one.
So, no.. that's not "how new mmo's are".
Stop revising reality.
i wish that was true, but sadly i don't think that many people on these forums actually do want that. seems to me like alot of people here want no grind at all, just a free ticket to level 50 and end game content. maybe optional leveling or getting rid of levels altogether should be considered.2/10, you'd best be trollin' son.
What players want is enough actual content to carry them through the grind. Quests and story and missions and events and instanced raids and things like that. Fun stuff. If there's enough fun stuff to carry us all to 50 none of us would be complaining about a grind because it would be non-existent.
When you have to grind to get to the fun stuff, that's when there's a problem. Make the fun stuff part of the grind, I say.
sounds completely retarded i know, and i would ditch this game in a heartbeat if that were to happen, but you gotta give the masses what they want.

Not sure if serious, or troll thread.
This is the craziest idea I ever see =='
What's the point of playing game then?
(Unlike)
I highly, highly doubt that an instant ride to 50 is what the masses want.i wish that was true, but sadly i don't think that many people on these forums actually do want that. seems to me like alot of people here want no grind at all, just a free ticked to level 50 and end game content. maybe optional leveling or getting rid of levels altogether should be considered.

It's what a few rather vocal folks on a message forum - which doesn't represent the entire community itself - want.
I think the replies and reactions to the idea over the past 6 pages pretty much demonstrate people's thoughts on the idea.
