As you level up a job you learn how to play it, when to use abilities and how to use them, you see the world as you visit new places to finish quests and join grinding groups, you face some monsters and get owned by them only to come back later when you're a higher level to settle the score, or farm drops and move to harder mobs as you progress in levels, get money, buy/make gear and at the end you reach end game and start re-equipping your character with endgame gear and figure out new builds for different situations and so on and so forth.
That is fun, and it takes time and effort to get the gratification you seek and that's how people get attached to MMOs, and that's how MMOs make their money.
Now starting at Lv50 lets say CNJ:
1-You'll have a bajillion spells that you're not entirely sure how to use.
2-You'll surely want to do some endgame and you'll definitely screw up since you're barely familiar with your class and role.
3-You cant start pimped out with endgame gear (whats the point of doing endgame if you did? it wont be "fun" forever) you'll start with rags and need to get money to buy new stuff but you wont know what to buy or how to get the money to buy it since you just started and are clueless.
I could keep going but I think I made my point.
Part of playing an MMO is starting as a weakling then slowly mastering your job on your way to the top. Starting a character at max level with all the crap you want handed out to you is ridiculous and every time SE nerfs or boosts a job people will just delete their characters and re-roll as whatever the current bandwagon job is, everybody will be mediocre at best.
I admit that I completely hate the battle system and most of what the UI has to offer (and really wish it was more like FFXI's) and haven't "really" played any battle classes since I got GLA50 god knows how long ago.
But I'm sure they're working on making it better.
I'm waiting for the new jobs and the process of getting my PLD then taking my time leveling it up to cap and finishing its quests and collecting its "artifact armor" etc.
Besides SE isn't going to make any money off you if they just handed you everything you want from the start and you had your fun for a week then quit, so yeah lol not gonna happen.
