I always assumed every good healer would know to time there regen in a way so that it just runs out exactly when a pull is finished or at most 2-3 seconds later. Yes, you waste an extremely marginal amount of MP if you recast regen too early, but if that's all you have to pay to time the end of regen perfectly with the death of the mob, it's a small price to pay.

I just find it kind of sad that most tanks don't even know they can click it off. When I play as dps, it's annoying when healers do something like this and the tanks don't know how to deal with it and either just stand around silently for 20 seconds or just pull anyway and then I have to try and chase the monsters around.

I've already seen really rude tanks too, though. They click off regen by default. Mid-fight. Every single time. And when you ask why they do that, the answer is always along the lines of: "Because regen is annoying for pulling." Yeah sorry mate, but you aren't pulling NOW. I know how to time my regen, thanks, sir, and you are actually messing that timing up because now I have to recast it mid-fight with a full timer and it probably won't run out before the mob dies...

Mouse clicking is easy, but for ppl w/o a mouse, its time consuming to click off. (Select UI, press again, press again, unless u had somethign up, then pres again to adjust, then depending on how many buff you have up, press, right, right, right right right, then accept button. Main reason we open with ranged attacks, and run ahead of the group, si because ranged DPS sometimes sprint, and have 3 tiems further reach than us, and WILL start fighting the moment they can reach a mob. it takes 1 second for them to pull a group of mobs, and to make sure the cursor selects the right buff, might take me 2-3 seconds. To which Ive then lost control of the group of mobs, from ranged DPS or face pulling melee) And 90% of the dungeon u wont have it on you, so the occasional pull you do have it, its unexpected. (Or popped on ya RIGHT as u hit ur ranged attack)

Sadly I use keybord, to avoid issues with my hand using a mouse, and the annoying control sceme on controllers also hurts my hands. But since there is a lack of a better way to quickly move through menu elements, QERF are my D-pad, and its a bit clunky, and slow for me, compared to how quickly i can move through the UI with a controller. (sometimes i leave a controller next to me, just because picking up a controller is sometimes faster for me, in situations like this.)

over all, its such an annoyance, that when a dungeon starts, if im given regen with my protect (before any pulls, which is roughly 30% of my DF groups) i just drop PT right then and there.
