Any info on the incoming ffxiv app?

So I've had Libra Eorzea for some time, but a while ago I noticed a lot of things don't work on it anymore and that it's due to maintenance in preparation for the new app they're gonna be releasing.

My question is, does anyone know anything bout this new app? I've looked and looked but I guess I can't seem to find anything on it. Any idea when it's coming out or anything? I've been checking the app frequently the last few months and nothing seems to have changed.

I read some place, maybe reddit I don't recall offhand but I thought it was being converted to a paid app sometime in the future for more things. I'm sure there will be a free version as well but I think the updates are being held up till they get the full new app developed. I.E. have it available as a paid app with the free option built in. I don't think this current app is ever gonna get updated anymore. That's just my 2 cents on it.

It seems kinda silly to release a paid app for a P2P game to me, that can only be used for that game, but whatever... $3 is no big deal, if it'll let me handle ventures with it it that would be great.

What I saw on reddit (I think), someone was saying Yoshi-p was talking bout the brand new app. Libra Eorzea is getting replaced by a whole new app which will allow people to talk with people whom are online while you are offline. That's all I was able to find, though. But I'm really excited to be able to talk with my FC members while I'm offline. I guess Yoshi also said the app is getting released sometime after heavensward is released, but didn't say when. I'm just getting impatient, the excitement is getting to me lol.

Well after my phone had just woken me up and reading though the notifications, i noticed that they updated the FFXIV Libra app and the only thing they did was.....

3.0 content

this might be a lack of caffeine talking here but SE spent 3 months on a cut and paste job and gave us the 3.0 content update for the app when we are about to get the 3.1 content in the game itself.

if after 3 months this is all SE was going to update in the app they should have released this along with the 3.1 content updates on the release of 3.1 in game

I had suspected it was being encorporated into FF portal where can get the original FF and triple triad amongst other games. Theres already a link to libra eorzea in it but its still that outdated one.

I wouldnt be interested in it if it were paid for. Theres plenty of fan-run websites suitable for mobile browsers that do a realy good job of finding itens quests gathering spots and recipes.

Edit: nvm checked app again and its telling me its not available in my country wtf (UK)
