You should open a ticket if you want to be safe, however I can see a few reasons not to do it unless you get confirmation from a GM that it's 100% fine.

    - If the RMT Task Force have any automatic checks in place to notify them of large gil transfers in suspicious circumstances, these transactions are almost certain to get flagged even though they are not RMT. It's a lot harder to get a banned account back later than it is to avoid getting banned to start with.
    - Technically speaking, you could say the value of 1gil on Chocobo and 1gil on Gilgamesh isn't exactly the same. All of the servers have slight differences in their economy and they won't have the exact same amount of gil in circulation. While what you are doing isn't actually changing the total amount of gil on either server, the difference in the value of what you would be trading to the other player and they would be trading to you could make it qualify as RMT. Even though there is no actual RMT taking place because you aren't worried about the difference in value of the gil at all.

And of course, no matter what happens you can't expect any help at all from the support team if something goes wrong and one person loses all of their money. It's not their job to oversee that kind of interaction.

I would definitely open a ticket and just ask a GM directly. Hopefully you'll get a helpful one who will confirm the situation.

For example fat cats in Gilga are currently selling for xxx,xxx gil and in Choc they are only xx,xxx gil...

I would really like a word from a GM\Dev though. There are too many leeways and loopholes to this whole transfer gil limit issue and my question is, is there a written ToS paragraph about this? If not, are we allowed to do it?
This actually indicates that you'll make a TREMENDOUS profit, if you're allowed to do this. While you'll have the same amount of gil, you'll have TEN TIMES the buying power once you make your move.

Personally, I don't see any reason why you'd be disallowed from trading 50 million to someone's alt or main on Gilgamesh in exchange for their alt on Chocobo trading 50 million to your alt or main there. The issue comes from the fact that that person would need to be a HUGE SUCKER whom you're exploiting for all he's worth. Essentially, you're trading him peanuts on Gilgamesh in exchange for diamonds on Chocobo.

This kind of thing is the whole reason why there's a cap on the gil you can take with you in the first place. SE is well aware that economies are different from server to server, and that someone who's barely average wealth on one server could become a weathy mogul simply by taking that money to another...

But, as far as I know, SE has no rule against someone throwing their money away if they want to, so long as the agreement is clear, so feel free to take this poor fool to the woodshed!

That is true, but it's been 2 years since launch. The devs specifically said that the average gil on the average player is actually quite high and that was over half a year ago.

You have to consider, what is a lot of gil? In a server like Gilgamesh, where people charge ridiculous prices... 50m may even be chump change. I hardly do any crafting and I managed to get 20m+ over the past 2 years. I'm not saying we should be able to keep ALL out gil when transferring, but at least increase the amount. I would say at least 5m or even 10m. 1m at this point is just too damn low.
