Is the Double Cross Hotbar anywhere close!?...

In one of his live letters, Producer Yoshida mentioned that Mr. Minagawa was working on the "Double Cross Hotbar" and it's been quite a while since then and it's such a feature that would make playing with a controller twice as good so I can't but wonder when it will be released!...

I don't know how it will work but it could be as simple as holding down LB (Left Button/L1) and have it work just as RB (Right Button/R1) does, effectively doubling the amount of cross hotbars currently available!...

There are so many commands in game and I really need this new feature, I hope it's released soon!...

How would that work though since LB already cycles through enemies when held down..

Though personally I wouldn't be able to use it as much even if it did offer more choices...at least not on the fly like I do RB. That hand is too busy running around

Are you talking about how it is now and has been for a long time where if you hold one trigger then hold the other it brings up a different cross hotbar? They added that a long time ago.

Not quite, you talk about the "Expanded Hold Controls", that only lets you use one side of another hotbar you choose, be it 1 to 8, depending on what trigger you press first!...

What I mean is have another 8 Cross Hotbars to make a total of 16 with each one having capacity for the usual 16 commands for a grand total of 256, right now is 128 total, with Double Cross Hotbar it would be 256, twice as much!...

In all seriousness why does this need to be a thing? Are you actually using up all 128 slots now? Im not trying to be rude but how are people filling that many slots you must have everything on your hotbars.

Unless they PvP and have a Macro for every occasion there simply aren't enough commands to use all the slots.

I'm using every single slot, that is all 128, 3 hotbars for class/job commands and 5 hotbars for shared commands, there are hundreds of commands in the game, probably, and I can't see why anyone would oppose to having more if it could only benefit players, that is others whom like me use mostly the controller instead of keyboard and mouse!...

I just made a simple question remembering something the Producer mentioned, you don't have to take a negative side or wonder about something you don't use, it would just be a great new feature to have and I'm waiting for it patiently!...

Im not opposed to it was just curious how anyone is using all their slots as it stands currently.

I do however feel there are more important things as of now that could be done but I wouldnt complain if i saw it in the patch notes.

I would want them to do corner wise macos with the controller.

If you push R2 + Down + Left - Down + right - Up + Left - Up + Right has a area where a macro could be save.

instead of hitting R1 to swap and have some extra corner wise moves.

Unless we have them and I didn't see.
