Miner stuck at level 35

I hope someone can help me with this character. I have other characters who are fine but this one Miner is, for some inexplicable reason, stuck at level 35. Everything below 35 has been completed, the level 35 quest is completed but the newer Miner areas are not opening up like usual. I can't imagine what may be the obstacle. The same character Bard is at 60, and Fisher is at 40 but cannot move ahead in Mining. Help please?

not sure what you mean by opening up? Are you saying you go to the spot and the level 40 nodes are not visible to you?? Cannot remember that ever being an issue...it was so long ago. You made need a minimum amount of perception to see the nodes but I really don't remember. If your gear is not "up to date with the best for level 35, try that first maybe and see if that helps. Is the mining guild showing the "Red" unavailable 40 quest???.

Correct. None of the mining spots above level 35 appear and I have all of the best gear and free company buffs. Very weird. I've never seen this on any other character and I have other level 50 Miners.

to see the new nodes you need to be lvl 36 not 35 that may be the problem

I'm not sure that's correct. Usually the next levels open up mid-way through the previous levels. For example, the level 35 regions would normally open up for exploitation somewhere between 30 - 35, I think about 33 or 34. All previous regions opened up well in advance of being able to exploit; for example, level 30 opened up at about level 28. But nonetheless I'll give your suggestion a try. I've got no other ideas. the node level that you can hit at 28 is called a "level 30 node" and only contains items from 26-30 (with the exception of shards/crystals/clusters and select other items).
To hit level 40 nodes, you must be 36, but the node will contain items from 36-40.

Mea Culpa. I sure have forgotten a lot since the last time (2 years ago?) that I leveled a Miner. Thanks for the help and in case it wasn't clear I do indeed need to be level 36 to start mining level 35 spots. Counter-intuitive.

the spots are 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45 and so on
