Ah ok, I get it now. That'd be pretty usefulHere like this is basically what I mean.
Excalibur isn't in inventory on paladin cause you are paladin but soon as you change the Excalibur goes back into the inventory, this is the system we have now.
With the flip book idea.
Excalibur would stay on the flip book if you changed your job to black mage, you can still go to flip book and remove armor off the sheets but it doesn't go back to inventory auto when you change jobs.
Giving us some much needed space.
I know what you are asking if the armor is for same job and you want to swap because its not in inventory, well make a right click option to equip to the other job without removing the armor from the sheet.
Something similar like the macro hotBar, this would be so much better than what we have now if would free up inventory space for armors and weapons and rings.![]()

We do a lot of interesting tactics in guildhests that I wish would make an appearance on a larger scale for longer quests with nice rewards.

I'd actually love to see guildhests and leves make a comeback. Right now they're basically useless compared to fates and dungeon grinding. Even the large leve quests are pointless when running individual leves at high difficulty and bonus times because you get more experience that way. Or remember that one FFXIV trailer with the leves? They were taken to another world and faught monsters and stuff, that'd be pretty neat. Guildhests were cool for a moment but unless your doing it just to say you completed them all then they're worth just about nothing. Also I agree with the mechanics being added to other content, the fights were really something.
1)A solo or 4-player survival mode for RELEVANT rewards.
2)Purchase abilities between 50-60 to built diversity and originality in jobs so not everyone has the same ones. Or have us be able to upgrade our current abilities. Example: Sacred soil 10% damage reduction to 25% or 15 seconds duration to 30 seconds.
3)Summonable retainers in duties. limit maybe 2.
4)Combine abilities with retainer or other players.
5)Cool solo content.
Only issue I see with this is people are still going to grind down to the bone "Which is the better deal" and practically force people to pick what they deem to be worthy, if you don't have it you will not be joining the group. Personally, I am all for it and would love it but I can just see it already that people are going to want people to pick only the best and nothing less.

Yeah I feel ya there. I played Wizardry and seen how diverse the skills are in that game, difference is the game plays differently in a way that you can move while casting and the game plays like Dark Souls so it gives you more free reign to experiment with builds. Like a Magic Swordsman with Fireball Sword Swings or increased Trap damage and stuff. Guess it comes down to who you play with I guess.Only issue I see with this is people are still going to grind down to the bone "Which is the better deal" and practically force people to pick what they deem to be worthy, if you don't have it you will not be joining the group. 1) Quarterly server events where cities get attacked by hordes (pirates, beefed up primals, etc), and players have to play castle defense. Let it be instanced so the AFKers and low level players aren't affected.
2)New skins for ACN, SCH, SMN and MCH pets
3)More Ground mount-only activities so everything isn't overtaken by just flying there
4) Higher level guildhests
And... Please for the love of RNG give us instanced housing plots, so we aren't fighting for whatever spot's left because people abandoned their homes

Time attack. Dungeons both synced and unsynced. Different cats fries for solo team etc.
Also raid marathon.
Basically like the above but the entire binding coil front to back. Drops could be dyeable allagan gear. Leaderboards for times like above.
Both of these could be implemented with very little resources at all and could be good fun.

Airship Battles
Make the Airship in your FC ride it with your FC, ram into another FC's ship, board it and fight to the death!

Attacks on random major outposts [Quarrymill/Little Alamigho/Bronze Lake/Dragonhead/Mordhona/some of the HW places etc] by organized elite armies of the local beast tribes. Several times a day. Or the Garleans maybe?
Let me expand on this.. there will be simultaneous attacks on different camps in a zone. Players will have to decide which to defend first and then probably have to retake some. If the zone gets taken over by the attacking forces, then no quest/leve/hest npcs will interact with players until every camp is liberated.
