So, I feel I need to ask since no one else appears to.

The two DPS apparently didn't know or understand the boss mechanics leading to the wipes.

Did you, with all your experience in the game and in that dungeon ... try to teach them?

I told them to stay at range and dodge the mechanics, of course. In English and Japanese, since Tonberry is a Japanese server. The tank was an English speaker, the SMN a Japanese and the BLM didn't talk at all - which is usually a sign they're English speaker, too.
So I actually explained the mechanics twice.
