1 Service Account for Multiple Regions?

    Hi there,

Bit of a story first to get my position across and get any feedback from y'all...

Lately I have been contemplating buying a new version of FF14 because I currently own an EU copy of the game but now live in the US - and every time sub renewal comes around (and for the expansion purchase) the sheer number of hoops I had to jump through was insane. For starters SE won't accept my US credit card and I have to pay for time in those imaginary crystals - but my US card won't allow the purchase of those crystals without first refusing and then calling me to make sure the purchase was legit. Then it's about a 50-50 chance that the next attempt works. I can't really buy time cards because I have to buy EU time cards which are scratch off, as the US digitial codes won't work for my game - so I'd have to get a family member in England who couldn't care less about my gaming to relay the code.

Buying the expansion was also a nightmare because the US SE store wouldn't sell me a EU version of the game, and the EU Amazon store wouldn't send my copy overseas. So again I had to get my family's input which, as a now 31 year old, I'm loathe to do for things such as video games.

Now as SE won't switch my SE Account region from EU to NA (whyyyyyyy?!123) I am left really with the only option of completely rerolling on a NA account and just blazing through stuff again in order to future proof my sanity by avoiding all the aforementioned annoyances.

Now my question becomes simple to answer - can I buy a NA version of the game and add it as another service account on my Mog Station, or is the Mog Station / SE Account tied to EU? I really want to keep my SE username "Buckles" as that is my character, my link to the game since it came out.

Also I am going to lose 8 (soon more) veteran bonuses because of this nonsense so if I can link an US copy of the game to my current SE / Mog Station account is there a way to bequeath it with the same level of veteran rewards as my current sub?

I know it's a long shot but after all the time invested in my current game I am fine with losing what can be replaced - but a few of the rare things I am sure SE can find a workaround given the situation they created with multiple regions. I mean it's 2015, we just saw actual, close up images of Pluto -- surely either switching an account - or the bonuses from one account to another held by someone with the same name, ID, bank details, chromosome, DNA and good looks as mine can be done.

Sorry, but frequenting the forums as well as reddit and other forums, I'm 99.9% sure you're out of luck... for everything you just said.

Checking the new account registration page ( https://secure.square-enix.com/account/app/svc/register ) it wants the person to actually select a region for the main account (before you even add games) and then says about can't be changed later so this to me suggests the account itself is locked to regions as well as the games themselves. So although I personally haven't tried, it seems very unlikely it'll let you add a game to the account that doesn't have a matching region.

Also I've never heard of SE transferring veteran bonuses or even transferring characters from one account to another so although you'd have to ask them to confirm, in all the time the game has been running and with all the people asking about region/character moving, someone would likely have posted if they actually managed to do it. The closest I've ever seen is them moving services when they were incorrectly registered to the wrong account, but even that took a few weeks to fix.

I don't know of any EU based one, but it might be worth looking into remailing companies (where you can get something delivered to them and they deliver it on for you) because they're setup specifically for this sort of problem where companies won't ship outside their own country. Worth a look anyway?

Sorry I don't have a better reply for you and I really hope someone can reply and say I'm wrong!!
