If someone is new to a dungeon, I wouldn't just tell them information about the bosses, mechanics, etc. Perhaps ask if they would like information or if they prefer a blind run. Some like to get the information because they don't want to "hold the group back" and some like to go in blind and figure it out for themselves. Obviously the best way to do a blind run is to form your own group with others who have never done it, but sometimes it might not be possible and they have to DF. The group should respect the new player's wishes and only provide info if asked or if it becomes obvious the new player isn't getting it.

The counterargument is that the new player is wasting the time of the other players if they're causing the group to wipe due to not knowing boss mechanics, but there are very few if any situations in dungeons that cannot be overcome if/when something goes wrong. Maybe it's just me, but I really enjoy those situations.
