As far as I can tell, there isn't a limit aside from the fact that the only thing they are used for is to be traded in alongside another resource that is time gated.

You will need 1300 Red Gatherer's Script to buy 26 Rowen's Token (Red Gatherers Script), and by having 450 limit red scripts for week, we will need 3 weeks to get a single tool. That was the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen, making people locked in a time based system to prolong game subscription. Not even in free to play games there are this kind of bullshit.
