    Dark Arts Dark Dance

    I don't think anyone will argue that drk has some peculiar design choices, but this one grates on me the worst. The base ability is not only weaker than Drg's keen flurry, but then if you dump your mp on it you get an evasion buff that's only good in trash content- and even then you could argue that the 20% evasion isn't a significant mitigation gain when you consider the free stun refreshes you're losing.

    I just don't want to see them sweep this one under the rug, even if it's slipped the community's current ire.

    I think it's perfectly fine for classes to have skills meant to deal with trash.

    Dark dance is one of the most interesting skills for me, of course outside raids. After pulling a massive mob and using blood price with mitigations I wait for blood price until it has 5sec left then I use Dark Arts>Dark Passenger>Dark Arts>Dark Dance and I become the god of dodging.

    That's fine, I just don't think it's fine to have niche abilities that are only good vs. dungeon trash AND conflict with another ability that's strong vs. dungeon trash (blood price).

    Yea, but now you've blown all your MP and blood price is down.


    Blood Price should restore MP on dodges. You can't dodge anything that matters anyway.

    I think you're one of the those who pop everything you got all together, well it doesn't work like that. In order to use dark dance efficiently you have to wait untill blood price is about to end also called managing your cds.

    I don't think its so much the fact that its more useful in trash content, its just has poor synergy with other skills. Blood Price gets messed up when you dodge or don't take damage. I've always enjoyed tanking with War the most because pretty much all of its skills have a good synergy with one another and its a real shame DRK doesn't have the same sort of treatment.

    Not saying this is what it should be but, something alone the lines of "Dodging an attack while Dark Dance is active extends the duration of Blood Price by X seconds" or even removing the dodge all together and adding a more consistent form of mitigation would go a long way towards helping that skill a bit.

    Just an opinion from a Warrior main. Don't yell at me please.

    I'm going to agree wit Yaichiro. Since I don't actively raid the ability is more fun for me. Lots of trash makes this ability really shine. DA+DD and DA+DP together is a really fun combo. In raid environments you'll want that Dark Arts buff more for Dark Mind, or a DPS ability. Even at 80% chance to parry, it's still RNG and we've all seen how bitter this games RNG can be >__>

    Yeah I'm not a big Fan of the DA+DD combo either, I rather use it on DP or Abyssal drain for the HP back if on big Mobs, talking some nice HP return there........for about 3 seconds.

    I've honestly stopped using it with AD altogether. The HP back can be nice, but taking no damage, even if from 3 hits, just feel's like I'm helping the healer out a lot more. It just feels like a crappy attempt to simulate Bloodbath+Overpower+Vengeance. That was nice HP back at the cost of some TP, which after a few flashses and a Steel Cyclone wasn't much of a problem. Abyssal Drain with Dark Arts feels counteractive. You have to take a lot of damage to generate the MP to restore the HP you lost generating the MP...

    I'm not saying it's completely useless, but not something I'd like to rely on as much as AoE Blind and Evasion increase. But then again I don't do Ex Roulette unless I have to. the 51-59 dungeons are far more entertaining, as is PVP
