    Square doesn't really have a choice in the matter thanks to our 'wonderful' community. They have to implement parsers in such a way that it'd be difficult to abuse. This is why /voteabandon can't be used at the start of an instance, /votekick has a cooldown and /withdrawing more than a few times or being the first to /leave results in a Finder lockout. It's all to curb abuse of those particular systems. It's sad that Square has to go to such lengths, but I rather they did than let the worst case scenario become a reality.

    How would a self-parser be abused? :0

    Also I really don't get what people are worried about. I've run 100s of dungeons, trials and guildhests and fewer than 1% have any issues. Maybe even fewer than .1%. Even when people struggle the worst that typically happens is someone abandons and we get a slot re-filled. And it is RARE.
