I'm stuck on The Phantom Pain. The sad part is, a good MMO would still occupy my time while I'm stuck on a single player game. I logged into FFXIV once since I started playing TPP and I sat there for 15 mins and logged out.
I can't believe they think that 2 dungeons for ESO is acceptable for 5 months. Who is making these bad choices here? Yesterday I was taking screen shots of all the popular zones on my server...and they were all dead. Not just like slightly empty...VERY dead, and this was at prime time...
Unfortunately, the only other things I can do are extremely boring crafting/gathering/FATE grinds. If the quest system was repeatable and had a good variation of mission types, it wouldn't be nearly as bad. But it's just so tedious.I can't believe they think that 2 dungeons for ESO is acceptable for 5 months. Who is making these bad choices here? Yeah, unfortunately we'll be having 2 dungeons/patch from now on. This was done so that they can focus on other things while maintaining a decent pace. I can understand them focusing on other things in game ... but the pacing is not there.
I'll also be taking a break from the game up until 3.1 is released.

I stopped caring about gear caps when soldiery gear came out. These days I just cough up for the crafted gear (no overmelding either...) and just work on it a casual pace. I ended up not getting soldiery or poetics gear at all due to lack of playing, but I haven't been held back from content because of it. Outside of serious raiding you can do everything at minimum item level.
Me and my best friend stopped playing since a month if not even more. When a game starts to feel like a job the fun ends. The FC fell apart as well. Hopefully the next patch will bring some people back.
I'm not burned out because I am not looking for this game to be my sole form of entertainment, I don't re-run things several times a night to farm for stuff, and I dabble in a bit of everything. In fact if SE could see their way to finally giving all players the option to own a house - or (and this would be the ideal) something akin to the GeoRama that Level 5 put in White Knight Chronicles and before that Dark Cloud then I could spend literally dozens of hours a week perfecting things.
Then how are you on the forum? The last time I went more than 14 days without logging into the game it kicked me off the forum and would not let me log back in, until I went back into the game.
Well, I'm still not through the main HW content, thanks to a RL imposed playtime limit and my partner being unable to play - I stopped in the story where they did so we can move forward together. But I'm leveling bard, working on my crafters and trying to make some gil. So far the most fun I've had in the last week was completing the Eatery wall for our FC house (Behemoth, The Mist, ward 2 plot 31, see the big pink roof, Nekomimis FTW! -just think of us as your Neko Maid Cafe owning neighbors.... ) gathering materials synthing components and working together with members of my FC to build something was fun and reminded me of how we used to be, when we worked together for things.
Now that I say that I will put it this way, if there was more to do as a Free Company (guild) working together cooperatively, I think it would be of HUGE benefit to the game.
P.S. Uncharted Collection comes out next month, so I know what I will be doing 2-3 days a week....which will make my time in Eorzea that much sweeter.

I feel your pain friend. I've got a pretty social FC so that helps and I also raid three times a week (though we've been banging our head against an Alex Savage brick wall for longer than I'd like). Levelling up different classes helps as I find it keep things fresh. The worst thing is just having just two dungeons for EX roulette. I used to love them but I'll be sick of them come November and 3.1.
