i'm burnt out on Alexander normal. i really dislike rolling on equipment for that one because generally you're doing the same fight way too many times. i haven't run Alex normal in a couple of weeks now even though i do want the armor, i just can't bring myself to farm it (and yes i know farming with a pre-made party is an option).

Friday. Farm Scrips. (I'm usually capped in ESO at this time). Slaughter mobs on the map for 10 hours to get 25 items.
Sunday. Take my weapon, slaughter mobs on the map for 8 hours to obtain 20 items. (right, at this point, I'm so pissed that I can't spend as much time as the previous day)
Monday. My favourite day. I pray all day that a glitch will occur, resetting all caps a day before they should be. Plus, farm, farm, farm.

Overall ? Yeah, pretty much pissed.
Sounds like you should invest in a battle retainer to bring back mob drops.

The only thing I really hope is that they know things are going downhill and will continue to go downhill if they don't make major changes with their game. I really feel like they are releasing minimal content assuming we'll keep our sub anyway no matter what they do because we are stupid like that... Come on guys... This is one of the most popular mmos on the market right now... Hire more people or something! You can do better than that! You have 300k+ players out there waiting for 5 months with 2 dungeons and 4 major bosses farmed ad noiseam. This is bad! That shouldn't be a thing!

I've been playing this game for 2 years and I've never thought about leaving the game... But even a loyal player who loves this game can become jaded by its emptiness.

Unfortunately, the only other things I can do are extremely boring crafting/gathering/FATE grinds. If the quest system was repeatable and had a good variation of mission types, it wouldn't be nearly as bad. But it's just so tedious.

I wouldn't say that I'm burned out, still got lots of content to catch up and I do enjoy weekly Alex Savage raids, plus that means grinding ingredients for potions for said Alexander Savage raids, so there's most definitely things to do for me.

What I'm sick of is Eso grinding. I can't stand it. It reached a point where last week I didn't even cap and while I feel guilty about it, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Why leveling roulette can't offer 75 esos a daily run? That way we could at least avoid expert roulette all together and do more varied dungeons. Actually attach esos like that to high roulette as well. It has a bunch of dungeons there that nobody runs anymore and it could use a use.
It reached such a point where camping a mushroom that spawns every 12 eorzian hours and fishing is more than double the entertainment value for me.

I am completely burned out of the game. Its shortcomings have hit me like a brick wall ever since reaching HW end-game that I can't even bring myself to log in for eso cap anymore these days. I'll probably be back for 3.1 to do the story, d oVoid Ark once, new dungeons once, then back to being completely burned out and uninterested.

At this point I'm having more fun trying to get my Art Books from Gold Chests in Xenoblade Chronicles than I have with XIV. (Meaning that trying to get books which have a drop rate between 0.4% and 2% from chests that already have a low 2% drop rate, is more fun than FF XIV at this point.)

SE's business model for FFXIV takes into account that there will be four types of players:

a.) hardcores that play 16 hours a day no matter what.
b.) casuals that play until they're bored then stop playing until the next content patch without cancelling their subscriptions. <-- me
c.) casuals that play until they're bored then cancel their subscriptions until the next content patch.
d.) casuals that play until they're bored then cancel their subscriptions, never to return.

SE already has a Scrooge McDuckian vault of money to swim around in thanks to this game (someone make an animated gif and shoop Yoshi's head onto Scrooge's body plz), so do what you want. The game will live on.

I generally like to pvp so I get most of my esos there while killing people. Quite an enjoyable thing I must say.

I don't think we're trying to kill the game, but ask for some new elements to gameplay to keep players enthralled, other than social gathering.

Plain and simple, people play games to have fun. If there's lack of worthwhile things to do in a theme-parked-type game, give ideas to make this game feel better or even worth while, other than having to rely on friends to make anything fun, because you can do that in ANY game (duh). Perhaps random floor dungeons with neat treasure or gil dispenses, Monster survival, Boss rush mode with no hp or mp regen in between. Help prevent this game from burning you and others out and give devs something to look at and go, "huh, not a bad idea". And yes, I'm burnt out, but still play just for PvP since its good for Esos and I'm still hoping for a fun PvP mode for pugs and party groups. Besides Secure I've yet to see it so far.
