I don't want no scrub
A scrub is a guy that can't get no love from me
Hanging out the passenger side
Of his best friend's ride
Trying to holler at me

And you wonder why they're so many bad players in the game. Look at all the white knights coming in defending a player without knowing the entire story and talking that trash about reporting them b/c they said they're using a parser. Hate to break it to you but a good chunk of the XIV community parses. And I bet a bunch of you in here talking trash run them too but you just feel the need to come in and be a white knight just for the sake of it. Yoshida has said it's against the TOS but it's a don't ask don't tell situation with them. Meaning if you use them for a static or parsing yourself it's fine but if you use it to harass players then it's a no go.
This player while it seems he was a bit aggressive was just trying to help them get better at their job. Sorry but if that's a problem then we really need to take a step back and question this community as a whole. Nothing wrong with trying to help someone out so they can get better at their job and not be a bad player anymore. They already said it's their first MMO. They're new. Nothing wrong with someone taking someone under their wing and helping them out.
I'd only help somebody(and I don't anymore in the case of BLM...) if they were complaining about it AND open to improvement. The OP didn't ask the guy for any help.
The thing about Fire III is only half right but yeah. Obviously you start AFIII through Fire III while still in UFIII. Unless I missed it, that "guide" doesn't mention it.This is the BLM guide that I used as a stepping stone when I got to 60: http://36.media.tumblr.com/9174ad021...edno1_1280.png

There are a lot of people who will be this way.. specially if you plan to raid in the future. Try not to take his attitude the wrong way; at the end of the day you're the one who will benefit from his advice.
I know that this is your personal approach, but I disagree with this approach.I\\\\'d only help somebody(and I don\\\\'t anymore in the case of BLM...) if they were complaining about it AND open to improvement. The OP didn\\\\'t ask the guy for any help.

I use to play super smash bros melee, went to a tournament got destroyed. And I didn\\\\'t even know of the concept of a community helping me grow so I kept to myself and thought I just need to do what I do better without ever opening my mind to other things until people who gave their advice when it wasn\\\\'t asked.
Plenty of people don\\\\'t ask for help whether they\\\\'re scared, got an ego and don\\\\'t want to publicly admit they\\\\'re bad and need to improve, or straight up think everything can be figured out on your own even if you\\\\'re lacking the foundation to properly approach the problem.I know that this is your personal approach, but I disagree with this approach.

Someone giving advice or wanting totrain you is a positive thing. You can just level up and ignore it if you hate it. Don\\'t try to shut people up from offering unasked advice
Wouldn't let me edit my post
Despite the good intentions the way some people who give advice come across makes people who still need said advice or training want nothing to do with them. I'm all for constructive criticism and advice but if you come across as an egotistical jerk who thinks they are all that you can take your criticism and advice and shove it. I'll find someone else to give me those things that doesnt have that egotistical jerk who thinks they are all that attitude about them.
Also the person the OP mentioned was acting obsessive about it. That just isn't healthy
