I'm fine with that but please do not remove the PvP rank requirements to equip PvP gears.
Please tell us it will be implemented in 3.1! Also... new Frontlines maps so you don't have to play Seal Rock every time in the roulette please!
Well increasing Pvp Exp is important as well. You know how long it takes to level up to 50 :/Hello,
rather than increase amount of PvP experencie which is meaningless imho you should focus on improve PVP content. Eg. remap of FL secure, remap of WD arenas. Add some challenge into it, ingame tables with positions, something special as reward, maybe pvp seasons and stuff like that. Increase just PVP exp is meaningless step as gear you provide as reward from pvp just for glamour but you cant really play in it cos of stupid ilvl cap. Think about it.
I'm happy to hear this news... I think... It's a bit late, for me, honestly, because I'm almost at rank 50 now, but ques are starting to slow down; so, any jump in Exp would be appreciated, especially because the grind is ridiculous.
If getting to Rank 40 was like hitting a brick wall, hitting rank 45 was like being buried under it. The Exp grind in the last 10 levels has been nightmarish. Weekly challenge log entries are a welcomed boost at the beginning of each week, but there's only 4 in total and, on my server, you can really only get the benefits of 2. Despite what the "hardcore" PvP'ers say, on my server Wolves Den is dead. You could sit in que for hours and get nothing, and shout outs in PF or on LS's are met with no replies.
It has been a shame that there was no way to scale the Exp you get with the massive jumps in exp that comes with each rank. It's good to know that something is in the works for it... even if it comes after I finally get to rank 50 (47 and counting. Embrace the grind... Embrace the grind...)
Agreed. In a competitive game mode, they should be encouraging MORE competition and rewarding good performances, not nerfing it so it's "fair" for everyone. I'd like to see them add additional rank 50 gear sets (and maybe some extra stuff at rank 40/45), but they should definitely keep the rank requirements for equipment.
What I'd really like to see is them implement a Wolf Mark system similar to the GC seal system. Shops that offer a variety of goods (not just gear), separated by ranks.
Wh....Why??? I don't think it would've been a problem if someones idea didn't get rid of the rank requirements that drove some of us to achieve these ranks. We have NO incentive. That new PvP gear is only good for Wolves Den. If your doing this can you pleaaaseee give us something to achieve (Not achievements, dear Thal no) with our hard earned ranks? Idk funiture, dolls, special champagne bottles idk, better looking gear would be awesome ( I like em a little).
Yeah, it's especially gross if you constantly come in 2nd or 3rd every single time (Aether Maelstrom, UGH).If getting to Rank 40 was like hitting a brick wall, hitting rank 45 was like being buried under it. The Exp grind in the last 10 levels has been nightmarish. Weekly challenge log entries are a welcomed boost at the beginning of each week, but there's only 4 in total and, on my server, you can really only get the benefits of 2.
Instead of tweaking PVP xp - can resources be dedicated to reducing queue times? At 8pm CST, on average, it's a 40+ minute wait.
If the 72-man instances are driving this, how about we see more 24-man matches?
PVP is a funtivity for me in FFXIV. 'Rank' offers marginal increases in overall effectiveness - the drive to 50 is typically for glamour. These excessive waits to force a 72-man instance will drive folks away faster than a perceived grind to rank 50. Fewer people, even longer queues, even longer grind to 50...
