Allocated resources for slots may be either extremely small or really big, we can't tell. However, increasing stacks to 150 or even 200 wouldn't cause any change to the allocated resources and would be a good start.

I'm genuinely surprised to hear the argument about how allocated resources could have an impact so big as it could potentially crash the servers. There are so much content added at every patch, including materials themselves, that it's hard to believe. If it's true that increasing stacks/slots has an impact so big though, it should be easy to fix, for instance by removing data that is close to useless. For instance, make recipes easier, requiere 1 instead of 2 iteam, 2 instead of 3, for the oldest recipes. Also, remove junk from the marketboard, such as bat's fangs, goobue's tooth which are used in what ? 1 craft only. And yet they fill the marketboard unecessarily. There are plenty of items that have no longer any use, and could easily be removed / replaced by other existing ones.
