Powerleveling doesn't work anymore. You'd be better off and get faster EXP if you find a proper party and find suitable monsters to kill.

The current monster linking (call for help) system is excellent for EXPing as a group. Because having another person in the party will make monster call for help from nearby monsters. For each link it calls into help to battle against you, you get bonus EXP. And if you kill fast enough, you get yet another chunk of EXP bonus. You don't have to make full party, even duo or trio is good. Or if you can, make PT of 4 people for Light Party stat bonus (increased max HP, and something else I can't remember, maybe ATK power).
If you get a good camp with good spawn rate, as well as fighting monsters of good level (like 5 levels above you) it will be faster and more effective than having someone babysit you (if you meant Powerleveling by spamming cure on you and make sure you don't die).

Thanks for the leveling tip. I've been just doing leve quests all around. Good xp, but limited. As for grinding, its sucks...Powerleveling doesn't work anymore. You'd be better off and get faster EXP if you find a proper party and find suitable monsters to kill.

Look buddy, I didn't ask for a troll.
Not a troll or trolling by any means, just saying that if you wanna play a game you should actually play the game. XI is going to hell in a handbasket cause ppl burn up their jobs then have no idea how to play them. Lvling/grinding is a basic function of any mmo. Not only does it make ur char stronger by course of stats but it also makes u a better player because you learn the tricks and techniques of how to actually play your chosen job.
If you were actually seeking tips on where to lvl or grind ur char you should have incorperated that into your original post instead of just asking ppl to play the game for you for a small amount of gil.
And I agree grinding sucks, but it does serve a purpose in the long run.
/sigh
lvl and learn how to play your own jobs. if your too lazy to do something so basic why even bother to play at all
Grinding sucks yes.
And if you go solo, mob won't link. Like, if you pull 1 Puk, or 1 Coblyn, that's all you get. You kill it, you get normal EXP, and probably won't be able to kill the next one before EXP Chain timer goes time's up. But if you bring 1 friend in the party with you, the Puk or Coblyn will also call a friend nearby to help.
So, having more people in your party not only help make them link more, giving you more EXP bonus, but will also help you kill mobs faster, enabling EXP chain (extra bonus for killing more than 1 enemies consecutively). But for EXP chain to work best or yield more EXP, the enemies you kill must be higher level than you.
More over, having friends in the party means you guys can band together to pick on stronger/higher level monsters, giving you even more EXP per kill.
Also, I don't know about after the patch, but generally, aggressive monsters also give more EXP.
Sorry I can't remember any good EXP camp for low levels, else I would suggest some. I only remember killing Puks in Nanawa Mines back when I was about level 18.
