Does Eorzea have Baseball?

Honest answer: No. There's no signs of any earth sports. Although if the lore people were to ever write about it, some Eorzean stuff would probably be similar... but generally it seems Square prefers to keep Final Fantasy sports fictional. (And who can blame them, national leagues are litigation nightmares).

Technically, we have chocobo racing. Horse racing is a real thing, although it would be classified as a spectator sport rather than an athletic one like baseball.

That's true. I forget about the Gold Saucer mini games because I don't play them, lol. But I don't know if any of those mini games would be considered canon or not. The Gold Saucer is a side attraction, and doesn't have anything to do with any storylines.

As for Blitzball, I HATED it with a burning passion in X, and am really hesitant to see it be put in XIV. If Yoshi-P decides to put it in, I only hope that the mechanics are VASTLY improved.

Same, Blitzball was my bane in FFX >< - also Blitzball played such an important part in FFX's storyline, it just... wouldn't make any sense having it plonked here! Fanservice is one thing... but, I don't know, I guess I'd rather SE implement some new large-scale minigame instead of just rehashing a minigame from a previous FF title again.

Ehh... considering Eorzea is based on approximately 18th century Europe, I personally don't think it likely many people but the noble elite have the time or funds to do things purely for leisure. Without modern agriculture, most people are probably farmers, craftsmen, or soldiers and have little downtime. If that time period is approximate, though, theater is probably around, as it was the main source of entertainment around then. A little credence is lent to this by the fact that one of the Deputy Postmoogle quests was rooting out a corrupt Ul'dahn merchant who was trying to take away a singing troupe in the employ of a Gridanian merchant (Maisenta of Black Rabbit Traders). There's also the seasonal holidays that most people probably participate in, as well as hangin' out with yur mates in the pub.

Plus the prostitutes. But y'know.

Most of the people of Eorzea are peasants. Their life doesnt include the means nor time for "fun".
