Suggestion: please make a ghost command for this game

this would aleviate frustration. being told over and over again that you are logged into the game when you are clearly not is just annoying

for those not familiar with it ghosting is when the server still sees you online but you are not, a ghost command tells the server "hey I'm disconnected log me out"

it baffles me that this is not a thing in this day and age honestly.

I'd love this. I've had the server take 10-15 minutes to log me out before. :/

It may be that the current reason for this is that the log out process is attempting to ensure your character data is backed up properly before fully logging you out. Forcing a log out on the server side could cause data loss or corruption, if this is the case.....

actually with this command it simply tells it "log me out" which would save your data before it logs completely out. it doesn't take more than a minute(unless the server is having undue lag it takes seconds to save and log you out) to save your data, it does however take that long(or longer) for the server to notice your ping is gone

This seems nice, and I would enjoy this. Losing exp or loot due to an awfully timed disconnect is annoying.

Explain to me again why it sometimes takes 15 minutes to log me out?

this is due to a faulty ping timer on the part of the server

Wow, is it still that bad? I remember it being horrid late last year/early this year, but since Heavensward, I normally only have to wait a few seconds before it realizes I'm not logged in.
