Please stop the gil spam.

So, there is a gil spam block addon, and as far as I can tell, it violates the terms of service because it performs injection - so I won't discuss it further or use it.

SE, why is the spam so bad? and why do you not do enough about it?

Here's what I come up with, which I assume isn't original because this problem has been around for years. I will list it anyway just to demonstrate that yet another person has the same suggestions for fixing it and the same complaints as everyone else.

1) Maybe we should start working with the spammers instead and pay them to not spam us because SE doesn't do enough?
2) Why not change the 'busy' status to 'no gil spam'?
3) Why not implement a friends-only-tell status?
4) Getting friend request spam is way better than /tell spam. At least it isn't in my fricken chat. - so let the spammers win by making it more acceptable to /busy.

I am sure there are WAY better ways to deal with this than what I'm venting about. I haven't even read much of the prior content on this topic. I'm just really frustrated right now. It's so bad. I've blacklisted 40 something spammers today alone!!!!!

This is sad, SE. This is honestly probably a bigger loss for SE than it is for me. I really honestly enjoy new players and meeting new people, but just now, for the first time, I've activate /busy. It's so bad lately that I don't care why people think I have /busy activated.

So, SE, good luck on trying to beat WoW numbers. You're nurturing a toxic community that 'doesn't like to be bothered' because they are too /busy because of the gil spam.

the problem is, none confirm it ofc. Part of those spammers are SE employees. same goes for wow, gw2, etc... everywhere u can trade in game cash there is part of bigger company that can provide this so they get extra $ coz for them its nothing than few number they can type ingame.
