this game is getting so boring. No more solid reasons to login and pay sub.

They should just release what the have now. If void ark gear is only 200 then it's useless, might as well push that out now while some people still don't have esoteric.
It will be more useful for a short time than wait and be useless when it does come out in november.
None of those games are MMOs. People mostly unsubscribe from MMOs when a new and/or better MMO comes out. People will not unsubscribe to play these new games. They'll simply not log on for a few days at most.Random note, but who at SE thought early November was a good date to release 3.1? Fallout 4, Star Wars Battlefront 3, Halo 5 and Rise of the Tomb Raider. I'd think they'd have trouble competing against Fallout 4 alone (let's face it, if someone unsubs now there's a good chance they're not going to resub when Fallout 4 hits within a week of 3.1), but all of those other games too? Fallout 4 is a Bethesda game and those last me hundreds of hours, and that's before mods..
No, they're games, and games are a form of entertainment. People leave their entertainment when it stops being entertaining for something more entertaining, for example, all the other games I've listed. And a few days? People are accusing people for rushing through 3.0 when it's been out for 3 months, Fallout 4 will have more than double the content Heavensward provides, and that's without the grind. If you finish that in a few days you are rushing through it faster than you're taking it in.
See you in November then. No harm no foul.
This is... exactly how I view it, actually. Although I was referencing the initial expansion more along the lines of movies that punctuate seasons.
Those games you listed have more competition with each other than they do with FFXIV. Also companies do not plan every game release around other game releases; all those games are releasing at the same time because it's the holiday season. Surely if they were worried about competing with each other they would all be releasing at different times.
The majority of people won't unsubscribe from FFXIV because the mentioned games coming out are not MMOs. All I am saying is that they won't unsubscribe. I'm not trying to make any other point. No, they're games, and games are a form of entertainment. What I'm trying to say is those who play both FO4 and FFXIV will play one or the other unless they have an ungodly amount of time available, and the majority of those people aren't going to keep paying a subscription if they're not logging on. Of course we'll never know either way since SE is so reluctant to release subscription numbers, but it's been known to happen with WoW and AAA releases (not just MMOs, MMOs don't drop every other day).
All of the games I listed are guaranteed to sell over 3+ million copies based off their brands alone, regardless of competition. FFXIV doesn't have that luxury, I think they're going to time the release of 3.1 just before the release of FO4 to keep people reeled in with their weekly lockout system. Those games you listed have more competition with each other than they do with FFXIV. This is misinformation, due to being overly general. We have been given a lot of new information that we did not have before. They are related to topics we've been talking about for a long time, but we have been given new, important information that effectively changes the outlook on the content previously revealed.
Attacking someone about their personal life on the basis of a list of things that they still want to do in-game seems kind of misguided at best; at worst it's terribly aggressive and rude. So they enjoy many aspects of the game. What's it to you? Why does that make you feel the need to ask them about their personal lives and what they do or don't have there?
I'll never understand this attitude.
