I joined this game late back in March, when 2.5 was out. By that time a lot of stuff was "obsolete" but you know what? I did it anyway. Every primal, all the towers,, all of coil,, every 50 dungeon. Because it was fun and new to me.

Not everyone is some BiS sheep only looking for the best gear and that's it. Some people (gasp) play the game to have fun.

This is the new player experience. I honestly wonder if I would get a better experience by unsubbing until 4.0 comes out, paying one month to enjoy all of the previous and expansion content and then unsubbing until 5.0 comes out.

I've been here since Beta and I've subbed continuously. I've got tons to do yet and frankly am not disappointed to have a bit more time to actually finish lot of things. Heavensward was/is an awesome expansion and I look forward to 3.1 in November.
