My posts are more or less replies to previous comments that challenge the validity of their statements. Length alone does not constitute as a "rant." I can assure you that there's absolutely no passion in my typed words. I'm providing relatively complete answers. Be thankful I am not listing actual citations to everything that I say, because I could.

It would be worth using the Reply with Quote feature for that. It looks like you are just ranting because we're seeing ~3 posts with no quotes referenced in them. With a quote, it looks like a specific reply to someone else's comments.

As for my own thoughts, I have no issues with the date of 3.1 especially not when the reason is vacation. As someone who works in development as a programmer (different kind of industry, but fundamentally it's similar), I know only too well how many hours you have to start putting in towards a deadline - you can easily expect to put in 6 days a week working 12+ hours each day and you don't always get paid for that time in money; it tends to be time off or even nothing at all in compensation.

I hope they took the time to relax and recover and are now ready to go at it again.
