I mean, this was predictable as soon as people datamined the Halloween stuff in 3.07.
Yea it's disappointing, but you know what?
Mudra lag fix is coming so idgaf!Gimme the deeps! The feels! I'm hyped all over again! Woot!
For endgame, it doesn't.
Repeat Neverreap/Fractal, or Seal Rock, ad nauseum for your tomestones, and clear Alexander each weak. Seal Rock is the only thing new here, if we're comparing to A Realm Reborn, but in a community that, for the most part, is purely PvE, that doesn't mean a lot... Heavensward is basically A Realm Reborn, minus the Relics, at this point... Although I'd honestly say it's worse than A Realm Reborn, because I find Alexander to be pretty lackluster, but that's what I get for going in hopeful, only to be met with nothing more than a pure DPS check... High Voltage wasn't much, but at least it was something, Coil was leagues ahead of Alexander off that alone IMO, never mind the story as well...
See, I agree with this, but... I don't think many people purchased Heavensward so they could do 2.x content, they purchased it for the new content... Had they expanded upon the old content though, by lets say adding a special Treasure Map to old loot tables, which grants access to a Guildhest-style Lv60 event (think BCNM style content from XI) for some relevant rewards, then we'd be talking... That would be something new, and it would be content that seems twice as filling, because you'd first have to beat Ifrit (Extreme) for an Inferno Map, before doing a special Lv60 instance against Amalj'aa for reasons.
Instead... Instead we just have Fractal and Neverreap... Going through old content duo/trio is fun and all, but it's not something I'm going to log on all week to do... Sky-Islands seem like the new exciting content, but that just makes the delay for 3.1 all the more painful... I got my fill of Amdapor Keep and Coil in the early weeks of 2.0, and I mean this in every sense, but that's essentially all Heavensward is offering right now... Well, were it not for Seal Rock, but I'm really not going to kid myself and pretend that's relevant for 90% of the playerbase. For most, Heavensward is either redoing Amdapor/Coil at Lv60, or redoing Amdapor/Coil in Neverreap/Alexander.

Yea I kinda feel like they coulda given us something in early october. Maybe just the beastman dailies and 2 new dungeons. Then the rest coulda came out later. Not sure how much they have developed already but oh well![]()
Some of you are just plain selfish.. The hours they work, they deserve a mini-vacation.. Jesus people on these forums are ruthless ><
3.0 is the VERY FIRST time we could do L51-60 content. If you expected more for endgame, you have unrealistic expectations. Still, 2x Extreme, Alex NM, Alex Savage, Fractal/Neverreap isn't terrible. During level cap increase patches (ie, expansion releases) you should expect most content to be during the leveling, not after. That comes later. This is essentially the only time they could realistically add L51-59 content so it makes sense the focus was there for 3.0. Expansions are for leveling, patches are for endgame.
doop doop
I agree with you, I'm sure they deserve some time off. But if they plan on having long periods with no patches they should give people things to kinda grind towards. Ex roullette will only go so far. Overall I'm not upset because I'm still plugging away at the crafting stuff.
I get what you're saying, but A Realm Reborn was L1-50 content... It had more leveling and story content, on top of more endgame content... That is exactly why people are complaining that Heavensward is just A Realm Reborn, but less.
Again... 2.0 pretty much had this exact problem, minus the delay due to vacation... There was a lack of content and much complaining, though this was mostly passed off, as Crystal Tower was actually delayed until 2.1, so that was the "excuse"... When they released A Realm Reborn, they got (or should have got) a sense of how quickly their playerbase consumed content, and what they wanted. When they released Heavensward, they gave us pretty much the same thing, but less...
I can't reasonably look at what happened when A Realm Reborn was released, and fathom why the same "mistakes" were repeated, but here we are... Glad they're finally getting a vacation, but the timing sure does suck...

I am unsure that November was the most wise of times to drop a content patch of all things. Now I honestly don't mind waiting a little extra I mean odds are I could just play another game or something till then which is what I will most likely be doing since I've done most the things I've really wanted to do ((Bout the last thing to do is to get the snm eso complete)). I am more worried that the time there releasing the patch is around the time where games like Fallout 4, Rise Of The Tomb Raider, Star Wars Battle Front, Tales Of Zesteria and then Xenoblade Chronicles X like the first week in December. The patch has to pretty much compete with some really big titles that are competing for people's times. I am just fearful the patch is just going to really go over people's heads in the onslaught of titles coming out during that time.
I do agree though the devs do deserve a break most certainly. However the timing of is just very unfortunate....
