Don't worry. When 3.1 comes, you'll chew through it and come back here to complain about it.

The circle if life. November gonna be a rough one. Sub expires, Fallout 4 comes out, oh what to do. May have to hit up the Scales of Judgement in Quarn to see which way it tips.
It's funny how you think it was delayed 2 months. So, you wanna tell me they delay the patch for 2 months because they took holidays? You cant be serious , because that would mean the whole staff took holidays for 2 months.
Lets Face it, that is just another excuse for dealying a patch/ expansion. They always have excuses...
Its funny how naive some people are and defend everything Yoshida does.
The release date is 6 weeks away. And if it was DELAYED by 2 months, that means they would've had to of planned it to release it 2 weeks ago. Last I heard, 3.1 was supposed to be some time in October. So at MOST it's a one month delay, if that.
And you clearly aren't a game developer so you don't know how long it can take to push this kind of stuff out
One month delay sure...It's funny how you think it was delayed 2 months.

Hw release was 21.06 and when SE calls a month for the release its never at the beginning. Its always mid or end of the month.
21.06-mid/late november = 5 months

Disappointing...
"Nothing to do..." How many of you have cleared A4s exactly? Still find it funny that people are bashing the developers for taking a break. Lol.

Will we lose subscriptions over this? Likely. However I feel that the more common case will be people lapsing out to play other games while they wait, and returning in November, which is both expected and acceptable to the developers. They stated multiple times that they expect and anticipate some groups to fall off in the downtime between patches.
Those that find reasons to stay rack up their loyalty rewards faster than those who lapse in and out. Honestly, I was taking a break until I heard this, now I want to catch up other jobs so I can be more flexible for Exploratory Missions.
Some people got more reasons to stay, some people got more reasons to leave. *shurg* I'm ok with this.
As I mentioned earlier, failure to build up any hype is a contributor to this. Me and my group is feeling a bit burn out from Savage due to the jump from A2s to A3s in difficulty and unforgiving mechanics (especially when it's relative to player-to-player latency). Midcore players have nothing engaging into get into, and there's very few meaningful content outside of doing things for the sake of doing things if they don't interest you (such as leveling classes you hate/dislike playing).
Crafters are stuck in a rut in regards to who they can provide to, PvP is stuck with Seal Rock which comes with it's own problem, and we have hardly any build up for what's to come in 3.1 that isn't anything new from what we heard from the previews a month back. The Videos they showed in the liveletter was under development ,but it really didn't do much to sell me interest in 3.1 when I take it for face value; Void Ark looks uninteresting, Exploratory mission looks like an overglorified Sea of clouds because it only showed exploring the area, and the void ark set looks like a remodel of the law gear, and they talk a little bit about the new goldsaucer attraction which we had already known of since last time.
If they were going to take this long to release content at a point where players are already losing interest, you don't want them to lose even more interest even with lack-luster previews. There was no mention of primals or details on relics, or really anything that resembles giving us something to "please look forward" for.
