Items up to i210 and very rare extremely powerful items? This is starting to sound like real HNMs of FFXI.
WTB Kraken Club

Airship venture gear will be ilvl 210

What if people monopolize it like HNM in FFXI since it open world?

The absolute lowest level mobs in the area will be the equivalent of A Ranks, and chests will drop upon defeat, with randomised drops. It doesn't sounds like a specific enemy will drop a specific reward that has to be repeatedly camped and farmed.
doop doop

Seems to be the defense against camping for an item....they said it requires lots of luck....RNG!
I can't believe I'm saying this... But I hope the Sky-Islands end up being like Abyssea...
I mean, most of my hate for Abyssea stemmed from the new level cap and the f*cking stupid stuff like Brew potion which gave you freakin' God-Mode, as far as the "Kill trash, hope for a pop item, pop NM, hope for another pop item, pop HNM" system it had... I didn't mind it... Certainly scores better than Hunts...
So yeah... If this is Abyssea, minus the God-Mode crap, it could be fun... Open world content you can jump into solo, for actual progression-tier gear? Sign me the hell up. This game has been lacking this kinda content for too long, just please, please please please please please make the NMs and HNMs force popped... I want more freedom in this game, not something which is either monopolized by the few, or something which end up as Hunts 2.0 and, rather than getting to enjoy fighting this crap, I have to suffer through a mindless zergfest after a 30 minute wait for one persons friends grandmas dead cat to turn up... Force pops. Or I'll punch a Lalafell.
Lord of Verminion though... Dear God... RIP Seal Rock, it was fun while it lasted...
