That's not really true. You can have a setup which provides a guaranteed currency-style drop, which can then be collected and used to eventually purchase items. With a system like that you know that if you put in X amount of time/effort you are guaranteed a reward.
As an example, our two newest extreme primal battles use this system (expanse totem, hive totem). Yes, you're receiving an item with a 100% drop rate, but that item by itself can be used for nothing. You must accumulate several of them (e.g. 10) before you can obtain an item.
I'd rather have to turn in 10 totems than depend on a 10% drop rate. Sure, you can get lucky on the latter and obtain your reward on your first attempt. You can also get completely screwed and not see it for thirty attempts. That's what sucks about RNG: you can put in the time/effort yet still not have anything to show for it in the end (except frustrations).

yes he said that we will get points. he however didnt state that you could buy i210 with these points. my guess is that i210 will only drop form those super world bosses which have days of respawn time most the time and are killed instantly when they spawn even midnight workdays. theyll likely be very smiliar to s marks only that they will reward possible BIS items making the rush for them even more crazy than current s marks were when the seals were important.
so points will likely not help at all with that issue. while its true that you cannot remove rng elements from a game entirely one some games they are actually mandatory (diablo) but these are different games. and sadly eastern mmos have been proven to ALWAYS contain OVERKILL or UNHUMAN odds when it comes to RNG based systems aka like 1% droprate and stuff like that. materia meldung is such an example on ff14 which is plain unfun to do for example. most players dont want thier FREETIME efforts be destroyed by getting bad RNG rolls over and over again. because if this goes to far you wont even feel happy about it when finally getting it youll more likely think this : THANK GOD THIS IS FINALLY OVER -.- and that is not what should happen in a GAME.
if the gear is BIS over savage parts then this will become a HUGE issue. if its not better than savage then i dont care.
on a sidenote i really hope these drops are BOUND ON PICKUP like instances. otherwise we will see people make MILLIONS of gil out of them via the board and this will lead to everything in the game becoming more expansive as time goes on. it also would give a DIRECT boost to gil sellers and buyers which is NEVER a good thing to make in any mmo afaik.

First week of November? Guess I won't be playing much then. Fallout 4 is November 10th and my life will be dedicated to that game.
Wow that Haurchefant painting is so lovely but Mr. Happy but this under New FC Crafting items? Can we only craft it with the workshop or buy it with FC points? Because that would be quite bad(Our FC has no house) I hoped that we would be able to buy it from our Grand Company. And no words about his minion? They did say when they showed a drawn picture of it that they hope that it will be ready for 3.1..I really hope that no information about it does not mean that it wont be in 3.1..

That new mini game looks really awesome. Cant say the same about the afro ^^; maybe its just the picture but it looks so unreal.
In my opinion, patch 3.1 seems like a lot of new game elements that will be introduced. I personally hope SE will at least release the new relic quest earlier before 3.1 to keep players busy since this quest will probably involve a lot of grinding and by the time 3.1 arrives, there will be a slight buff/easier on the grinding procedures with the new contents.
The reason this is doable is because from past relic quest experiences like FATE atmas etc, these grinding does not require new contents to do. Using existing contents are doable even if its slower and its a simple procedure of adding one new quest with only new weapons as rewards. This won\\'t stress the developers too much comes 3.1 and in fact will relieve them of one less pressure of content with 3.1 dateline stress.
Please consider this option Mr. Yoshi. Thank you kindly for your time <333
I can't see them pushing the relic out before 3.1 when it might be getting delayed until 3.15.In my opinion, patch 3.1 seems like a lot of new game elements that will be introduced. So will the new ct raid be dropping 3 chests per boss or more since we have 11 jobs and we had quite ab it of loot problems with just adding ninja during wod or will there be some token at the end and you run it x amount of times?
