Concerns about the Chaos datacenter decisions

Yes, deal with it because there's nothing anyone can do about it at this point. It's free for NA players to transfer from EU servers because their gaming experience will most likely suffer if they stay there. In my eyes it's fair and there's nothing ridiculous about it. Also, like I said, the fee you have to pay for the transfer isn't that big.

People need to take off their tinfoil hats and realise that there's no favoritism here, transfering data center to EU isn't free and SE isn't a charity, it's a company that needs to make money.

I think that EU players have paid enough already during 2+ years while having a worse experience than what those on the other two supported areas had (and they weren't paying more than us euros for that "premium"). But now you tell them to pay again to get the proper one once we finally get it, while NA players can move away for free because God forgive us if, because of their very own decision when selecting a server, they ever have to deal with the connection issues that EU players will have had to deal with until October of this year.

I'm sorry, but it should be free for everyone or for no one (as far as the Chaos datacenter is concerned, of course). It makes no sense, it's not fair, and many people have explained why.

You know who has it worst here? New Zealanders/Australians that now have to leave their friends of two years because the servers would be literally on the other side of the world now. >.>

Not to mention there hasn't even been a sniff of info about there being oceanic servers.

I don't mean for this to come off rude so please don't take it as such. You're on a server that is being transferred, so regardless of if you're EU and happy to be going or US and getting the free transfer off the issue doesn't effect you money wise. You're not being asked to pay to transfer, so it's easy to say that it's not a lot to spend when one does not have to spend it.

But people who have been playing this game since 1.0 who were told no EU server was being considered and it didn't matter where they went - and on top of that saw that all servers were clearly marked 'NA/EU' are being overlooked. It isn't their fault that SE had all servers marked NA/EU and told them it didn't matter where they went because no EU data center was coming and they listened to SE. So why should they pay now that SE has changed their mind when they, in fact, followed SE's rules at the time?

I understand you have a very clear point of view on this and regardless what anyone says you might not see the issue since you're getting a free transfer one way or another - but as a 1.0 player who was around at the first transfers and saw that there was no 'clear cut EU server' and no 'EU data center' even planned - I understand their frustration.

Well, the extensive maintenance announcement came and they simply link the old info with no further update anywhere that I know of, so I guess that's a 'no' to transfers to the Chaos datacenter.

Greedy SE is greedy. I hope that this doesn't backfire you (and then you'll say that there's no market in the EU, instead of "we f*cked it with our service there, sorry").

Well, that's kinda stupid, offering free transfer off the EU servers for any NA people there but NOT offering free transfer TO the EU servers for any EU people not there. Just, why?

good thing is that even if SE doesnt offer free transfer u only need to pay once , not X number of chars u had on the account

Because it makes sense.
NA players who are on Chaos will suddenly get a WORSE gaming experience, so they are offered a transfer as compensation.
On the other hand the gaming experience of EU players outside of Chaos will not change in the slightest, so they don't get a compensation.
