    Kicking other players discussion.

When I notice a boot confirmation window pop up usually see offline or afk. Even if that is not the case.

So I generally notice dumb players when healing. When I click on their name and can't target them then I check map position. As much as I hate a player playing poorly, I have never kicked anyone for that. I like to win, but not at the price of someone I am not sure of the situation they are in (ie. a physical disability).

The other day I watched a random player run to different points on the map and die. Sure we have all seen that a thousand times. So then I ask a few times if issues. Then bring up the discussion of bot in party. Which I have seen some funny responses in the past. Still nothing. Then an S spawns they run through the S with no one around and then to a random spot to die again.

So when I brought up the vote kick I choose cheating. A few people were confused by that choice. If they were really botting they are cheaters.

Has anyone had a response from a GM or a player contact them after a match after getting the boot?

Not trying to flame bait or make people angry. Just looking to shine a little more insight into other players behavior.

Well it'd be pretty hard to be contacted by a player from the same run since DF/PvP is cross-server.

As for GMs, I've yet to see any. Though I've only ever been booted for being AFK/Disconnecting. I don't think anyone has ever chosen "Cheating".

I had a SMN once who died 10 times. We told her to stop diving into the enemy lines by herself (she would run in and spam Miasma II). If she has listened to us and held back, we would have been fine with her staying. But she just got really aggressive and we ended up kicking her.

Losing isn't fun, I agree. But kicking people for being bad is going to discourage them from playing and I would rather see more people PvP than less. I prefer to help give them pointers, if they get snippy or ignore what is said, then I usually launch a vote kick.

I don't know if people who do Seal Rock know this, but don't they know that if you get killed by other GC, your GC will lose 5 points and that other GC will get 5 points? This is makes me mad sometimes when I see someone who isn't Ninja trying to steal other Node and died or people who really want to revenge and become aggresive and don't care with the capture node...

I've never seen the boot option come up as "cheating." It's usually "AFK" or "Offline," but I can say that I have most certainly seen Bots in Frontlines. Either that, or the person(s) were having a stroke or were intentionally being moronic.

The worst case I've seen was when the player mounted up and ran in a straight line into the starting barrier. When the barrier dropped and the match started, the player kept running in a straight line until they hit something else. I figured, okay, no big deal, he's probably just temp AFK during the wait timer... only, once he got killed running headlong into a rock, as soon as he respawned his Avi did the exact same thing over and over all match. New match, and the same name comes up. Guess what? He's doing the same thing. At that point everyone in the Alliance assumed he was either a Bot or a Troll and gave him the boot.

I haven't run into (or at least haven't noticed) any bots in Seize. They were easy to spot in Secure, and even easier in Slaughter, but I haven't seen them in Seize at all. I have had to kick a few AFK or Offline people, and I feel bad about it, but time in Seize is to precious to wait for someone to get a drink or fix their internet issues.

I haven't seen bots in PvP yet, only recently started seeing some in PvE. Still, I don't think we ever kicked them with "cheating" as the reason. We settled for "afk", because even when we were 99% sure the person was a bot, there's always this small doubt left that makes one wonder if maybe MAYBE they aren't. And it would feel horrible to accuse someone of cheating if they were innocent
