    list of being a bad;

    1. not reading the tool tips for the skills you get as you lvl up, or at all.
    2. thinking you are entitled to have 3-7 other people do the work for you.
    3. saying "i play how i want" to justify spamming one move.
    4. refusing to acknowledge what role your job is.(I.E. a healer not healing at all, or a smn/blm only using physic)
    5. resorting to lying to join a party that is asking for specific exp.
    6. refusing to use job appropriate gear.(tanks are safe from this. dps and healers are not.)
    7. using gil to buy a win, then proceeding to join a farm group, thinking you know the fight.(certain circumstances aside.)

there is more, but these are what i see happen the most.

People who refuse to learn from their mistakes like you already said, whether it's handling a mechanic or something else. Also people who don't make the most out of the class they're playing. It's one thing to level a job and learn as you go, but there's no reason to be lazy, such as not keeping a necessary buff you need up, like Wanderer's Minuet or Huton. You don't have to be the best dps but you should be generally playing your class right.

Tanks in dungeons that insist on storming ahead and continually pulling too many mobs at once even after the group dies from that the first time. Usually these are also Tanks that don't know how to properly manage defensive cooldowns and don't pop them appropriately so the giant wave of mobs go through them like wet paper.

Tanks that don't understand how to manage hate on more than 2 mobs at a time.

Tanks that fidget and dance around with mobs and don't even attempt to stay still for positional-dependant DPS.

DPS that still don't seem to understand how to target the mobs the Tank is focusing on, and instead keep wailing on a separate mob and then spaz out when it aggroes them.

Tanks that don't understand how to manage hate on more than 2 mobs at a time. 3-4 targets, ok. More than that for a Paladin, that's more understandable

Tanks that fidget and dance around with mobs and don't even attempt to stay still for positional-dependant DPS. Sorry, I'm not eating an AoE for someone else's parser hard-on.

Normal definition of a bad player ["Bad" being an adjective, not a noun. Apologies for the Grammar Nazi moment]:

*Doesn't put in the effort to make their jobs serviceable in dungeon/raid fights. I'm not talking HQ gear/Raid drops, just gear that is close to where their item level should be for that fight.

*Refuses to adjust their mindset to the composition of the party (Hello, meathead tanks who Leeroy through dungeons and healers who don't know how to turn off Cleric Stance).

*Excludes jobs in Party Finder based on forum nonsense and/or perpetuates said nonsense (MCH, AST, now PLD).

It's totally possible to minimize movement (meaning avoiding having the mob rotate more than like 45 degrees for instance) and still dodge things, I do it all the time. I was referring to Tanks that move non-stop. Had a roulette just yesterday where you'd swear he thought the floor was lava or something.

This irked me because the tank in my dungeons run not only couldn't keep hate, but kept insisting on stopping in very narrow corridors, which make it extremely difficult to notice what mobs were throwing off AoEs and even what direction. Needlessly to say, he got two of us killed, but tried to blame it on DPS (me) not dodging.

With that in mind. While not "bad" players per se, people who run the early dungeons/raid expecting everything to be perfect get annoying. They're designed for new players to learn, not you zerg rushing them.

I had to call out a SMN the other day in Alexander normal for bringing his zeta weapon into the duty. Didn't wanna take all day killing Oppressors because someone brought in their trash leveling gear lol.

If they're being willfully ignorant and throw the "I play how I want" card to justify their subpar play, thats a good example of a bad player.
