Suggestion: Allow Free Transfers TO European Data Center

Well i guess people need to grow a brain then when it was said in the announcements "We recommend you choose a Server in your region" and what EU means - pretty strange that Chaos has always consisted of EU Servers only isn't it?

• Wrong - Servers were listed EU or NA in Open Beta in the Server List when you logged in - get your facts right: Only the Datacenters where marked as NA/EU where you clicked on - i don't give a damn about your World Transfer Screenshots that you post again and again - you could've looked up how Servers where labled before you choose one
• Equal Treatment would mean that you actually need to be treated equally. You choose to have a bad connection once you choose a NA Server and not a EU one - your connection is not getting worse when the move happens - NA players connections that are on EU Servers will - so they get a special treatment. You don't because nothing changes for you, except for your desire to play on a server with less ping - but that's not SE's problem
• I don't care about your complaints - i just can't stand people crying over entitlement when it was obvious since the last beta which Server belonged to which territory
• No - i wouldn't rage against it. Because nothing would change for me. If i play with 50-75ms or 25ms doesnt do shit in a MMO for me, get your T3 routing straight im sitting in the middle of Europe too

And now get over it - SE either will or won't allow Free Transfers ON the Chaos Data Center - my bet is they won't so they don't overload the, mostly already strained, servers (Especially Balmung - poor fellows can't even get in their workshops because the server has no free instances in the evening)

Wrong – this screenshot is a screenshot of actual World Transfer Application Site as the screenshot shows. An application form site, a site where you had to fill a form and choose a world to transfer your 1.0 character data to. This was way before open beta (fourth beta phase) as the date in screenshot shows. There was no “in game screen” you’re referring to. And finally, application submit deadline was July 15th 2013 which again, was before open beta.

Read about it or ask someone who actually went through this before you comment, please.

I haven't seen Balmung unlock in a very long time(a friend plays on that world and wanted me to join her), I have my doubts we will see it unlock during the free transfer.

You can create a character on another server and then pay for a transfer. No servers are locked when you are paying to transfer. Hence these free transfers allowing people to further flock to Balmung.

I think you're not understanding. while yes it is possible to transfer, it will not allow you to transfer when you cannot create new characters on the server. I know this because when I tried to transfer a character it told me outright the server was not accepting transfers

You can transfer to locked servers via the paid for service. A lot of people get annoyed at this as not only does it bypass the lock (that's there for a very good reason), but it also could be viewed asas solely a means to bring in revenue. There's been quite a few threads about it in the past.

Back then, there were no physically European data centers, so if a person didn't care about a little lag, really any option was fine.

Now there's just a little bit more incentive to transfer to a "proper" server. I won't, but it would indeed be nice if you could transfer to them for free, too.

Even though it does not concern me directly, I will stay on my EU server, I agree that free transfers should go both ways.

I wholly support this notion. My FC and I have been playing on NA server since 1.0, and if SE intends to screw us over after all this time, I'd like to at least know their reasoning for doing so.
