Suggestion: Allow Free Transfers TO European Data Center

I think you're not understanding. while yes it is possible to transfer, it will not allow you to transfer when you cannot create new characters on the server. I know this because when I tried to transfer a character it told me outright the server was not accepting transfers

You can transfer to locked servers via the paid for service. A lot of people get annoyed at this as not only does it bypass the lock (that's there for a very good reason), but it also could be viewed asas solely a means to bring in revenue. There's been quite a few threads about it in the past.

Back then, there were no physically European data centers, so if a person didn't care about a little lag, really any option was fine.

Now there's just a little bit more incentive to transfer to a "proper" server. I won't, but it would indeed be nice if you could transfer to them for free, too.

Even though it does not concern me directly, I will stay on my EU server, I agree that free transfers should go both ways.

I wholly support this notion. My FC and I have been playing on NA server since 1.0, and if SE intends to screw us over after all this time, I'd like to at least know their reasoning for doing so.

I wholly support this. Having enjoyed two free transfers myself Square has already set the precedent that it's not impossible (the first being the transfer during the Beta and the second when they set up the datacenters). I really don't understand why they didn't make it a two-way offer to begin with.

And people from NZ and Aus will still have bad latency, it's just now they have to move away from their friends on the EU servers if they want to still play the game. T^T I don't really want to leave my friends, but now I have no choice, the servers will literally be on the other side of the world.

I probably can't do pvp anymore either. It was good doing PVP with the EU players before because we ALL had latency ('cept those few americans on the EU servers), But now New Zealanders and Australians are at a serious disadvantage. There's nowhere we can go for our latency to be any good.

Also... I really don't want to leave my friends of 2 years T^T
