SE: Please consider allowing for Leveling que in a Party

So, at the moment, my friend and I are leveling yet another set of jobs. First we're doing MCH+NIN to 55 to catch up to my PLD, then we're gonna do PLD+MCH To 60. We've leveled multiple jobs this way - one of us taking up the 'desirable' job for faster que's, the other taking up a DPS we wanna play. We both also enjoy playing tank/heals so it helps us out in the long run as a team as well as gives us something we can enjoy doing.


But there's one major complaint I've had the whole way, and that's in the simple fact that we can't do our leveling roulette without either A) Cheesing the system (D que only and timing it) or B) Not doing it at all.

Now a logic I've seen quite often from people is that "Leveling roulette is intended to help populate low level dungouns. If people could go in as a premade it would hurt those queing without a premade."

But I'm honestly of the opinion that there are more people like me, who simply won't use the low level que - than there are people who would build full 4-man premades for que'ing and bypassing others.

Honestly it's very rarely I get -such- a bad party that a dungeon takes forever or leaves a bad taste in my mouth (that's usually High roulette and hey wait a minute... that's not new players...) Most of the time the worst I see in leveling roulette is...a new person. Oh no.

Though. I think they could allow like.. double queue. Maybe not a full party.

Levelling roulette is working as intended. Right now I can queue my DPS with less than 5min waiting time and get a good EXP so it doesn't matter if I am thrown to a very low lvl dungeon. You're asking for a selfish thing thinking more about "me" especially when you have access to other dungeons with your friend with "faster" queues as you've you claimed.

It's not that I refuse to play with random people;

It's that I want to play with random people with my friends.

I'm asking to join in the low level roulette so our Tank+DPS combo can be made more readily available to everyone. As stated, it doesn't take away from me not to use low level que - but I would like the variety offered by being able to do low level que.

If SE never adds it, it's really no skin off my nose at that point - I'll keep doing my level 50+ que's with those pre-50 people never seeing our tank/healer combos in there. But I'm suggesting SE add more people to the effective pool because I know a -large number of people- who are like me who will never que leveling because we don't want to ditch our friends.

Well I mean leveling roulette takes an hour, most, usually. Unless you're just really, really unlucky. The rest of the time you can level with friends, especially since roulette is just good for once a day.

I would like to queue with my friends for leveling roulette as well, I always queue with my BF and it's annoying they we can't do this one together .

Yup, I support the OP as well. I'd love to be able to queue for an actual leveling roulette with my BF instead of just selecting the highest-level duty we can do together. I don't think anyone can really argue against being able to queue as a pair (really, how often do YOU get a leveling dungeon with three new people? I think it's happened to me maybe once or twice), but personally I don't think it would make queues that much worse if people were allowed to make premades for it either. There are still plenty of people who queue expert roulette in pairs or solo, after all.

The middle ground is to allow up to 2 or 3 players to que together for low level, never 4 though as that would circumvent the intention behind Low Level Roulette, which is to get veteran players mixed into low level dungeon ques and keep the que rolling.

This feature is working as intended and will probably never change.

The whole idea of Leveling roulette is to help new players progress through the story dungeons , that is also why it is more generous in its rewards than high roulette .

As someone who never uses the leveling roulette, adding this option would actually make it more likely for me to do so.

Already there are awkward work arounds people attempt to get into a leveling roulette with their friends. Adding the option to queue as a party seems like a far more positive thing than a negative one.

Yeah, you probably will see people doing it in groups of four, but you'll also see pairs and trios joining as well.

Don't exclude people because they want to play with their friends. It is the wrong mentality to have.
